Miri, Miri

After a particularly grueling weekend day getting things done, she fell asleep in the car that afternoon. Her eyes were even still partially open, but she was completely sacked out. 

Later that night, as the rest of us continued with chores, she opted to stay put. Right on the floor of the computer room. Plumb tuckered out!

After finishing off all her pasta (and a forced amount of meat in the sauce), she suddenly claimed, 

"Hey, I just feeled myself grow!!"

Then she showed her true colors by showing the part that must have grown.

Happenings

We were treated to another dining experience recently.

This is my Loyalty Program card. For each item I ordered, I received a tick mark. 

This was lovely....Aleaha mopped (note bucket and mop in background), and then she asked if we had any "Caution: Wet Floor" signs. I happened to be fresh out, so she made one.

Her school had their Spring Music Concert, wherein the 2nd grade class played their recorders. It was surprisingly delightful to hear them play as a group.

And then they got to have Western Day as a theme at school. Miss Aleaha wore her chaps and was ALL THAT.

It was also time for the annual Carnival at Miri's school. "Paint Facing" was very popular, as always.

And the pony rides were da bomb. Miri proved she has actually been paying attention during lessons, as she deftly got up herself.

Aleaha said this is her favorite part.

Mother's Day Gift

The other day, I found them in bed together again. 

And soon thereafter I received her response to a question from the daycare staff in preparation for Mother's Day.

The Usual Stuff

While at Costco recently they wanted to stand in line all by themselves to get a treat.

Miri made a visit to the kindergarten rooms of her new school (for next year). She was unusually shy, but I know she won't be like that for long.

Her daycare hosted a lovely Mother-Child Tea for Mother's Day. It was a lot of fun. A special time -- our last kiddo in daycare. *sigh*

Horses Update

We put up a temporary grazing area and while Shorty was being moved to it, the other 3 lined themselves up at the gate, eager to help mow. They're all about the call of duty, of course. (And doo-dee, too.)

Shorty and Quigly demonstrate that all-important social horse quality known as "you scratch my back...."

The ones that aren't founder-prone get first dibs at the new upper pasture. Wahoo!
